WARNING: Nature has found a back door. Fungal hyphae have integrated with the mainframe, turning every door into a neural synapse. As the last surviving interface, you must navigate this bio-digital labyrinth, manage resources and manage to provide what is need to the trees around you. Regain Root Access or be consumed by the update.

System Operations: How to Play
Network Expansion: Use the hyphae to bridge the gap between your mainframe and the environment. Every [GROW], [DISCOVER] and [INSPECT] bio/chemical signalsuses a lot of Resources, so use them carefully.
Things You Should Try
- Find all the trees
- Grow as big as possible
- Try and run out of phosphorus, carbon, or nitrogen on a node
- Let two trees die to see your score
Peripheral Inputs
- Mouse Scroll Wheel: Zoom IN and OUT
- Left Mouse Click: Interact
- Hold Right Mouse Button: PAN
Hydration Protocol
- Objective: Ensure the survival of all Arboreal Units (Trees).
- Method: Route water through your fungal pathways to keep the forest’s "biological signal" online. When you find a tree and you let 2 of them die, you lose.
Resource Balancing
- Manage the delicate equilibrium between Biological Energy and Water Reserves.
- Warning: Overextending your network may lead to critical system dehydration.
Sequential Decryption
- Navigate each sector to regain Root Access. Use the following terminal bio/chemical signals:
- [GROW]: Absorb essential nutrients to expand your reach.
- [DISCOVER]: Reveal and initialize new nodes in your immediate vicinity.
- [OFFER] & [NEED]: Exchange resources between nodes.
- [SYMBIOSIS]: Only available with trees, where you provide Water and receive Sugar.
- [INSPECT]: Analyze a specific node to identify the available resources in that area.
Visual Interfaces (Map Modes)
- HYPHAE: Displays the intricate underground network of roots and fungal connections.
- GROUND: Pinpoints the two primary life-support resources: Water and Sugar.
- CONNECTION LINES: A simplified schematic of all active node connections, highlighting the real-time transfer of resources.
